Winter 2022 season begins Saturday 26th February.

Posted 28 August 2021 Thank you to all our members for taking part in another stellar season of netball. Although challenging with jumping in and out of restrictions, we had some great success on the courts across the club. This is strongly reflected in our overall results for the season with two of our teams being named Premiers, and three teams as runners up as decided by the format in absence of playing finals. We also had another three teams that finished in the top four, who would have played finals in a normal season. Premiers:

Congratulations Morgan, Isabel, Mia and Mey Wun! These MDNA awards reflect their consistency and efforts on court. Overall it has been a very successful season for the club, with all of our teams performing outstandingly and showing improvement week in week out. This is fantastic to see given how much netball we have missed out on over the past 18 months. Once again congratulations to all of our players, coaches and team managers for their exceptional efforts this season, we appreciate your consistent efforts despite the challenges we have been contending with. We have been informed by MDNA of the following procedures in light of the newly announced lockdown. Unfortunately we will not be seeing this weeks round played out at a later date. In the event that community sport goes ahead next Saturday, it will be 1v2 on the ladder (i.e. 1 week of finals). See times and fixture for our 4 grand finalist teams below. IF community sport DOES NOT return next week, the top two teams will be awarded Premiers and Runners Up. We hope to see community sport back next week, Stay safe everyone and we will continue to keep you informed regarding both finals and presentation night. Now is the time to register to play netball with Wantirna South. Online NVM registration is now available. Please log in to your MyNetball app or use this link NVM 2021 to complete your NVM. Be sure to select your availability for squad selections. Attendance at squad selection is required for both A Grade and A Reserve. Squad selection dates and times are: Tuesday 2nd February; 5.00 - 6.30pm U11, U13, U15 & U17 7.00 - 8.30pm U23, A Reserve & A Grade Tuesday 9th February; 5.00 - 6.30pm U11, U13, U15 & U17 7.00 - 8.30pm U23, A Reserve & A Grade Please note NVM must be paid before taking the court at squad selection sessions. A reminder that your 2020 WSNC fees for the Winter season have been carried over for 2021 for all those that paid and had intended playing in Winter 2020. EVER THOUGHT ABOUT COACHING OR UMPIRING? Please email enquiries@wantirnasouthnetballclub.com JUNIORS RETURN TO PLAY - Saturday 7th November At last we are (again) returning to training and Saturday play for our juniors. We now have access to our training facilities starting Monday 2nd November. MDNA will be conducting an informal 6 week round robin style of play starting Saturday 7th November and finishing Saturday 12th December. There will be no finals. Committee have made the decision that there will be NO COST to players. If you haven't already heard from your coach, please contact them with your availability. Participation is optional. There will be a COVID19 plan and expectations applied, which we will pass on once received from MDNA. If you accepted Netball Vics offer for a 50% refund you are still fully covered to play. SENIORS- we await further information (fingers crossed). WINTER 2020 FEES- Paid up members will have their Winter 2020 fees (excluding NVM) carried over to and fully cover Winter 2021 fees. There will be no price increase. Should you wish to have your fees refunded, there will be a $30 deduction due to charges already incurred from MDNA for the rounds that took place back in March.
